Breaking New Ground Project
Memorial Hermann, the state’s most recognized system for patient safety and quality awards, broke ground on a $93 million expansion of its Sugar Land campus on May 14, 2014.
The project will expand the hospital’s Emergency Center, enhance surgical capabilities, and build both a second medical plaza and a new six-story, 155,000-square-foot patient tower.
Memorial Hermann is set to open a new Convenient Care Center (CCC) August 3 in Sienna Plantation. The new facility, the Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center in Sienna Plantation, will be the fourth CCC to open in the Memorial Hermann Health System. Memorial Hermann currently operates CCCs in Pearland, Summer Creek and most recently Katy.

Construction is well underway at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital. Work on the 155,000 square-foot patient tower is on schedule for completion in September 2016 and the 100,000 square-foot Medical Plaza 2 building is scheduled to be finished up by November 2015.

Construction on Medical Plaza 2 is underway, with an expected completion date in December 2015. Completion of the patient tower is expected in the fall of 2016. To date, the hospital has already added additional beds to the Emergency Center, installed an advanced Computed Tomography (CT), and now offers 128-slice CT imaging.
